Nearing completion on an exciting redevelopment project, The Model re-opens in 2010 with expanded facilities and gallery space, a cinema, a renowned art collection and a superb programme of visual,  music and education events. Extending the building by a third in size to create a world-class visitor centre, The Model promises to be one of Ireland’s most unique cultural spaces. A number of opportunities at The Model have arisen due to the expansion.

Programme Assistant, Education and Film

The Model is currently seeking applications for the position of Programme Assistant, Education and Film to assist the development and delivery of the education and film programme.

A strong interest in and previous experience of visual art, education and film is essential. Possessing good communication skills, both written and verbal, organisational and computer skills and an enjoyment of working with the public is central to the role. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to prioritise within a team environment.

Volunteer Scheme

The Model is looking for enthusiastic people who have a few hours to spare each week to join their volunteer scheme. If you are interested in meeting people, getting a better understanding and experience of the arts and would like to make a worthwhile contribution to Sligo’s cultural life, The Model would love to hear from you.
